Wombwell Hall

Underground roads - are believed to have run from Cobham Hall in the south-east to Wombwell Hall and from Wombwell Hall area to Swanscombe.  The exits to the outer world, which do, or did, definitely exist and  were behind the Hall. The exits bear no resemblance to deneholes.   Bombing in the Second Great War revealed underground tunnel workings of a typical character in the neighbourhood of Wombwell Hall.
