Railway Lines

The Line from West Sutton climbs into Sutton Station on a ramp of half a mile.  Because of surrounding buildings and because of cost considerations the chalk cutting was lined with concrete.

The Line from Sutton to Belmont built 1860s climbed quite steeply.
