Racing circuit best from A20 entrance up top of East Hill. It was originally a grass track for motorbikes. Hear the cars ten miles away. Located in rolling countryside in a natural amphitheatre.  Established on grass tracks in the early 1920s for motorcycles and motor racing began when a hard surface was laid after the Second World War. BOAC International and Daily Mail Race of Champions held there. Club circuit of 1.24 m but longer for major races.
