Drains the meadows of Worplesdon, Pirbright and Wanborough and feeds into the Wey eventually. Also called the Stanford Brook.

A distinct manor which Fulk Basset, Bishop of London and Lord of Woking and it was amalgamated with Woking.

Pyle Hill

Barrow Hammerswas a common field to the east of the road, which survived into 1848.

Large private houses built along here on the land of what had been Frog Lane Farm sold in 1894.  The road is on the line of an enclosure track.
