Tiny timber houses built during the First World War. Originally an Woldingham Camp built on Muscombes field, in 1914. It became quarters for the Public Schools Battalion of the Middlesex Regiment and in 1916 was used as a wounded soldiers' convalescent home which closed in April 1919. It was sold to Henry F Morris for development as a Garden Village in 1920. Morris was a scrap dealer and an ex-Mayor of Bermondsey.By 1993 it was a mixture of original WWI army huts adapted as homes and houses built later.

19 converted bungalow still retains its original timber walls, and in the garden is a shed built of corrugated iron said to be from the original camp wash-house
