Surrey open space, particularlyattractive in autumn with its many woodland glades andsuperb beech trees. Sheepleas is popular locally but not muchknown elsewhere

Shere Road

Part of an old route which goes from Ripley down the North Downs scarp via Combe Bottom to Shere and then ends up at the Roman villa near Ewhurst. This is one of the old roads connecting North Downs settlements with swine pastures in the Weald.
