Loseley House. Elizabethan built by William More in 1560s, one of Elizabeth’s councillors.  Stone from Waverley Abbey.  Daughter married John Donne. Panelling from Nonsuch.  The first Surrey mansion laid out on an E plan and it set the style for generations.
