Wimbledon Park,

Spencer Estate and landscaped by Brown, Paxton there also.  Lots of drainage work of streams, which created the lake - now on the highest point.  Park was the demesne lands.  Now boring.  Sold in 1834 and bought area for housing.  1914 Wimbledon Council bought the rest for building.  But pressure made them lay it out as a park.  Northern woodland strip oak, hornbeam
