Goldsworth nurseries site  

Goldsworth Nurseries founded in 1760 by James Turner and in the early 19^th taken over Robert Donald.  He was a friend of Loudon and in the 1850s he laid out Brookwood Cemetery.  By 1870s they were failing and were taken over by Walter Slocock who barged in lots of manure.  He died in 1929 when it was the largest nursery in Britain.
